With over 30 years experience as a social service volunteer and professional, I understand that being of service to others is an enormous privilege as well as a responsibility. I strive to provide a safe-enough space for my clients to feel both nurtured and challenged in finding their own sources of wisdom and healing.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from McGill University and my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work degree from San Francisco State University.
I am a dhamma teacher and serve as a Core Teacher at the East Bay Meditation Center. I continue to offer teachings at various meditation centers. My formal training includes the Commit to Dharma program and Niroga Institute’s Integral Health Fellowship. My Buddhist writings can be found in Lion’s Roar magazine.
I identify as a queer cisgender man of color (gender pronouns: he/him) and second-generation El Salvadoran. I am bilingual Spanish-speaking.
